GoWeiqiBase is a browser Go board where you can play AI right away. In Chinese you may know the game as Weiqi; in Korean, as Baduk. The point of this site is simple: when someone wants to play or understand this game, they should find a real board first, not a lobby, a store page, or a wall of unrelated games pretending to help.
The board lives on the homepage. You place stones on intersections, the AI replies in the page, and your local progress stays in this browser. That narrow scope is deliberate. We would rather make one Go board feel clean and usable than stretch the site into a portal that does a little bit of everything badly.
Who this is for
This site is for people who searched something plain like “play Go online” and actually meant a playable board. It is for learners counting liberties for the first time, for players who want Easy / Medium / Hard without a ranked room attached, and for anyone who is tired of clicking through sign-up prompts before they are allowed to place one stone.

What we do not do
- No multi-game portal or “more games” thumbnail farm
- No matchmaking lobby or rating ladder
- No OGS / Fox / Tygem mirror claim
- No cloud KataGo subscription
- No APK, .exe, or “mod” download
In other words, this site tries to stay legible. If something belongs here, it should help you play, learn, or understand how the board works. If it belongs to a different business model entirely, we would rather say no than blur the edges.
